This year I presented extracts of a play I have written based on extensive, creative & collaborative research with women who worked as ICU nurses during the pandemic, about their experiences at the @BACCNUK conference. #CovUniPGRpresent @CU_ReCap

We made it on the official @BACCNUK 2023 conference album. Prior to presenting some of the actors got into character by attempting the hospital bed making challenege- they didn't win, but made a very good effort, such a shame that wasn't captured 😄

What a process! I've learnt so much, identified areas for development in the script & have worked with incredible people. So much valuable feedback to reflect on. Audiences found it raw, real, moving & important as a document of history which shares the truth of the C-19 ICU exp

Today we experimented with performing in some of the PPE that ITU nurses wore during the pandemic. Communication was difficult, movement was restricted and it was very hot. We can only imagine how hard it was to work full and very tough shifts in it.
