Our contract expired on July 1st, and 24 providers close each day! The state must stop breaking the law and sit down at the bargaining table to agree on a contract that invests in our state’s child care workforce to ensure working families do not continue to lose access to care.

🚨 #CCPUCalifornia is pressing charges against the State of California. The state has:. ➡️ engaged in bad-faith bargaining .➡️ illegally withheld state funds .➡️ taken unilateral action without union approval . The state’s actions are unacceptable and unlawful!

For working families, access to subsidy slots is often the only way they can access child care. 🌱 🌻 But low pay is forcing providers to close every day, ripping care from families who need it most.

The discriminatory attacks on immigrant working families by the Trump Administration are DEPLORABLE. 😡All families who hold up our economy deserve access to essential safety net programs, including early education services provided by #HeadStart. #CCPUCalifornia.

Our hearts are broken for union sister Patricia 💔 who is closing her child care because she can't afford to keep it open AND take care of her health. When providers close, kids and families fall through the cracks.
