NWS forecasts cold temps on Mon., Nov. 10 and Tues., Nov. 11. The Charlotte CARE Center, 1476 Kenesaw St., Port Charlotte, will provide shelter to persons needing refuge from the cold. Guests will need to pre-register by calling 941-627-4313 and arrive by 8 p.m.

We've partnered with Public Works to install over 12,900 reflective evacuation zone bands on stop signs across unincorporated Charlotte County. Each band shows the color and letter of your zone, making it easier than ever to identify your risk and evacuation zone.

Since there will be limited parking, Charlotte County Transit is launching a park & ride service from Tringali Park to the beach! The shuttle will run Mon.-Sat., 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The shuttle will depart Tringali Park at the top and the bottom of the hour from Chadwick Park.

Englewood Beach Update! The southern entrance to the Englewood Beach parking lot will reopen on Wednesday, April 2. This means you'll have pedestrian access to the beach, but parking spaces will be limited.

The Business Recovery Center has relocated to the Family Services Center to assist residents affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The BRC will be open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday through April 30. The BRC will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
