My 6 month kidney cancer update: The CT scan this week did not show cancer anywhere in the body! I will continue on my chemo pill until April. Thank you to my friends, family, colleagues, and the CCDS community for all your positive thoughts, prayers, and love! I am so blessed!

Received results from my 18 month CT Scan and the doctors said it looked great and it was a perfect scan. I was so happy to hear the great news. Thank you to all my family, friends, CCDS community, and others for always checking in on me to see how I am doing. I am truly blessed!

First day of my preventative chemotherapy pill. I am so blessed to receive the prognosis I did from the doctors after my surgery. Life is good! I hope everyone enjoys this beautiful Derby Saturday!

Just found out that 4 of my senior basketball players scored a 30 or better on their ACT Test. WOW! Are you kidding me! Congrats to Franco Valentin 35, Wynton Jackson 32, Mason Mack 31, Jonathan Dawson 30. Words cannot express how proud I am of these four guys!

I could have never imagined that in the fall of 2001 when I was hired at Cincinnati Country Day that I would be calling this place my home 20 years later is crazy. I love this school from the faculty & staff, the families, and most importantly the students! I truly am blessed!

Boom! Huge news early this AM. Cam Alldred - CCDS class 2015 has been called up to the big leagues for the Pittsburgh Pirates. First Country Day baseball player in school history. I am so proud of this kid and all the hard work he has put in to see his dreams come true.

Thank you to the Ohio Basketball Coaches Association on recognizing me with the Bob Arnzen Award. Coach Arnzen was a giant in the coaching world serving 43 years at Delphos St. John. I cannot believe i have been coaching at CCD for 20+ years. I am truly blessed!

The Zimmerman triplets had an incredible week at the Pensacola Beach Tourney. Andrew averaged 23pts & 13 boards, Megan 20pts & 8 boards, Liz 17 points & 5 steals. All 3 were named All-Tournament. They are tough competitors, great teammates, leaders, and ambassadors for CCDS.

Tough loss last night at CCS but my heart was full seeing Caila Nagel after the game ❤️❤️❤️
Caila was in a horrific car accident in May of 2020 that left her in a coma fighting for her life. Her attitude & positive outlook throughout her entire rehab & therapy has been inspiring.

It was so much fun catching up with 2016 CCDS grad Sean O'Brien while in Vero Beach. Sean was our starting PG, kicker on football team (51yd school record holder), and All-State soccer player. He is a Notre Dame graduate working in finance in Boston. Tough competitor & great kid!

CCDS basketball player Ashton Snell rushed for 278 yds & 5 TD’s last night. He went over 1,000yds for the season. He now has 17 TD’s and has rushed for 600yds & 11 TD’s the last two games. This is his first season of football. The kid has so much heart. I am super proud of him!

What a fun night coaching Mason & RT in the Cincinnati Senior All-Star game. RT was named MVP in our 88-80 win. Shout out to Jon, Franco, Michael, & Wynton supporting their teammates. I am going to miss this senior class big time. Great day to be a Nighthawk!

Country Day boys basketball with a hard fought 63-60 win in OT over a tough, scrappy, & well coached

team. It was a great back & forth game all night. CCDS was very balanced once again with six players scoring between 7 and 13 points. CCDS is now 8-0 on the year.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Sara and their two awesome kids. The world lost a great man today! He was one of the good guys. I enjoyed coaching against him and valued our friendship. He will be sorely missed as a coach, friend, and most importantly a husband & father.

Short handed only playing with a handful of guys we picked up the road win vs a tough New Miami team. Leading the way was Mason Mack 20pts & 10 boards, Wynton Jackson & Davis Campbell with 12 pts each, RT Adkins 11pts & 17 boards and Eugene Burse playing with heart & toughness.
