Well, friends, I have some bad news. My husband, Jason, has stomach cancer.
We just found out this week (Wednesday night) and met with a wonderful oncologist Friday. He’ll have a PET scan soon. That, plus other test results, will give us info on his prognosis.
Here’s what we
I have GREAT news.

Update on my husband's stomach cancer:
We found out today that Jason's cancer has been staged as metastatic disease (Stage IV). At his endoscopic ultrasound last Friday, the doctor biopsied an enlarged lymph node in his chest, and it came back positive. This makes the cancer
Good update on husband’s cancer!
Just did surgical follow-up. The abdominal washings they did during the laparoscopy came back negative for cancer!
That means the cancer hasn’t escaped the wall of the stomach into the abdomen. It’s still in the lymph node(s), but this result
Four months ago yesterday, my husband was diagnosed with stomach cancer (AKA gastric cancer). A couple of weeks later, we found out it was metastatic/distant (stage IV). He's now gone through 7 biweekly rounds of chemo and immunotherapy.

We're at chemo (my husband's 7th round), and for the first time, we got to watch someone ring the end-of-treatment bell! He's giving hugs to nurses now. I'm a little choked up. ❤
I just got an order for my signed trilogy from my high school AP English teacher's wife. She's getting them for him as a gift. This is a special one. He was a big influence on me, and I thanked him in the acknowledgements of one of the books. I was in his class 24 years ago. 💛

I had a follow-up mammogram and ultrasound this morning, after my routine mammo last week.

My 12yo son is a computer programmer. He’s been on Scratch since he was 8. Now, he’s learning Python & learning various ways to modify Minecraft.

When another writer says they're reading my book, my internal reaction includes both, "Oh wow, that's so cool" and "But they're a real writer, and they're going to figure out I'm just a hack."

A little less than 18 months ago, I decided to write a novel and narrate the audiobook. As of late last night, when I finished the audio editing...the goal is met.
But I somehow ended up with a trilogy of books and audiobooks instead. 🤷♀️
Finishing (x3)...it’s a good feeling.
I just bought a book from someone I’ve never interacted with on here. Why?

I checked out their bio. Was intrigued enough to not only follow, but check out their feed.
Book in pinned post looked good. Great reviews. Decided it was worth taking a chance on.
