The matter of the Epstein files isn't affecting Trump's overall approval among his MAGA base. There is some dissatisfaction within the GOP, including MAGA, with how the admin is handling it. But few say the Epstein case matters “a lot” to how they evaluate Trump's presidency.

Trump's overall approval continues to slide as it has consistently, if incrementally, since the start of his term. It's now closer to where it spent a lot of time in his first term, in the low 40s. Underneath, he continues to get strong approval from his political base.

And 6 in 10 disapprove of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which at least initially most believe will help the wealthy.

On the economic front, there are continued calls to focus more on prices, rather than tariffs that most Americans oppose.

The Republican and MAGA political base remains overwhelmingly approving of it all, but the rest of the American public has become less so.

The deportation program had majority support earlier in the term, but today it does not. Meanwhile, most disapprove of the way the administration is using detention facilities.

Most now say the administration is not prioritizing dangerous criminals for deportation, and also is deporting more people than they thought it would.

Two-thirds of Americans say Trump does need Congressional approval for action against Iran. That includes a third of Reps - MAGA, in particular, though, are more likely than other Reps to say Trump does not.

Republicans show overwhelming confidence in the administration’s handling of the situation with Iran, which nets out to the nation being split on that overall.

Concern about the U.S. possibly becoming involved in a wider war with Iran does span partisan lines. For most Republicans, though, there is relatively less such concern.

Large majorities would see the prospect of Iran having a nuclear weapon as a threat, both to the U.S. and to Israel, but there is concern about a wider war.

Reps, including MAGA Reps, overwhelmingly back the airstrikes. For the rest of the public, however — and netting out to a majority overall — there is disapproval of those airstrikes and still-greater concern about a potential wider war.

President Trump’s approval rating on immigration continues to be higher than his marks on the economy and inflation. His overall job approval remains unchanged.

Few people feel they know a lot of the specifics of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act right now. Most do feel they have a general sense of it.

On both tariffs and the deportation program, more Americans like President Trump’s perceived goals than his approach.
