Why did Amber Heard call the media in 2016 instead of the police if she feared Johnny Depp, and how did her bruise disappear overnight? Let’s break it down
#justiceforJohnnyDepp
It was an ethics violation by Dr. David Spiegel to testify about Johnny Depp's psychological traits without evaluating him. Spiegel acknowledges the rule against giving opinions about people they have not evaluated but does it anyway.

Warner Bros confirms no change was made to Amber Heard's role or comp on Aquaman 2 due to statements by Johnny Depp or his lawyer. Another false claim by Amber Heard. See below for WB's statement, thanks to

Amber Heard testifies that her attorney advised her not to speak with the police on 21 May 2016. Attorneys give that advice to keep their clients from incriminating themselves.
#JusticeForJohnnyDepp
Psychologists are not experts on whether an incident occurred but that did not stop Amber Heard's forensic psych from testifying that Johnny Depp assaulted AH. Highly-biased and uninformed opinions should not persuade the jury.

Amber Heard's sister, Whitney, testified that Johnny Depp tried to push Whitney down the stairs. But Jennifer Howell declared that Whitney said the opposite happened. See this thread for the details.

Amber Heard claims Johnny Depp was physically abusive and she lived in fear of him, so she gave him this huge knife as gift. Makes sense, right?

Amber Heard sued in federal court for making an insurance claim for Johnny Depp’s defamation judgment, and for refusing to cooperate with the insurance company in defending the suit. Read it here.
Amber Heard calls expert to testify that nearly everyone on social media supports Johnny Depp and has negative things to say about Amber. Yep.

Amber Heard knew her dogs can’t fly, but she illegally brought them to Australia in 2015 and falsely blamed others. She is now being investigated for perjury. Let’s break it down.

Amber Heard said nothing of the horrific bottle incident she claims Johnny Depp committed in March 2015 when asking for a restraining order in May 2016. See below for her papers.
#JusticeForJohnnyDepp
Amber Heard received a text from Johnny Depp on 22 May 2016 that he never wanted to see her again. He then leaves for Spain, but AH seeks a restraining order on the 27th without telling the court JD was out of the county and had no desire to see her.
After listening to the audio of Amber Heard abusing Johnny Depp, the ACLU has issued a statement on “What You Need to Know About ACLU Artist Ambassadors, Including Amber Heard.” Thanks, ACLU, for splaining this to us!

of Amber Heard's attorney blaming the judge, the jurors, Johnny Depp and social media for the verdict against Amber.

TMZ seeks an emergency order blocking disclosure of who leaked the video of Johnny Depp in 2016 after JD lists former

Amber speculates the jurors loved Johnny so much that they gave him a pass. She fails consider the more obvious explanation that the jury found her not credible due to the inconsistencies in her story and her unconvincing performance on the witness stand.
Love this cross. Amber Heard feared the “monster” Johnny Depp became when he took drugs, but in her wish list for their wedding rehearsal AH calls for “drugs” to be supplied. Who emails a to-do list to staff that includes a request for drugs?

Did Amber Heard concoct her SA claim against Johnny Depp from details of what happened to her assistant, Kate James, 26 years earlier? See this thread for what Kate says.

The Washington Post attacks Johnny Depp one day after the jury found its 2018 op-ed by Amber Heard was defamatory. A new op-ed by Charlotte Proudman says the US justice system “is rigged against women.”

Amber Heard is Still Being Investigated in Ongoing Perjury Case in Australia, as confirmed by the government to Entertainment Tonight on June 28, 2022.
The perjury and perversion of justice case against Amber Heard advances, with the Australian government confirming today that it has received evidence statements from US-based witnesses.
Amber Heard misused the protections designed for victims of abuse to obtain a restraining order against Johnny Depp when he was in Spain and had no chance to defend himself. It was a further act of abuse by Amber against Johnny.
The WaPo has a conflict of interest because it published a defamatory article in 2018 about Johnny Depp. To continue reporting on Depp-Heard (whether as news or op-ed) without disclosing the conflict is misleading and further damages WaPo’s credibility.
Nothing in this juror’s statements are problematic for the verdict. It reflects that the jurors did their job. It’s time for Amber to accept the verdict and move on.
Would love to see Amber Heard's "Q Score" now. She should have issued a public apology rather than go to trial. This trial has destroyed her reputation more than her attempt to cancel Johnny Depp.
#JusticeForJohhnyDepp
Both parties had a fair trial. Criticizing the judge and claiming the jurors violated their oaths is disrespectful to our system of justice. The jury has spoken.
An article in Slate claims the judge made two “mistakes” in the Depp-Heard trial that may have caused Amber to lose. Just another attack on the legitimacy of the verdict.
Former TMZ producer Morgan Tremaine, who worked for the outlet when the kitchen video was published in 2016, is on Johnny Depp’s witness list. Amber denied leaking to TMZ and insinuated JD’s attorney did it. Looking forward to this one.
#JusticeForJohnnyDepp
The jury was told, by Amber Heard's expert, that there is overwhelming public support on social media for Johnny Depp's fight to clear his name. This knowledge could influence jurors to vote in line with the public perception. Oops.

I searched Amber Heard's testimony from the UK trial and found no mention of the serious claim she made today about the bottle. If she did, please advise. Thanks to
@angy3101

Amber Heard showed a photo of herself in the court hallway waiting for a restraining order in May 2016. Los Angeles Superior Court prohibits photography inside the courthouse. Why violate the law to document this life event?
#JusticeForJohhnyDepp
The Depp-Heard verdict remains safe and sound, despite a leaked court filing making further allegations against a juror. Amber Heard’s claim that Juror 15 is an imposter is sus. See this thread.
Warner Bros goes further: Any delay in picking up Amber Heard's option for Aquaman 2 "was due to creative issues in casting Ms. Heard n the role of Mera for Aquaman 2, which were communicated to Ms. Heard's agent at the time."
At his deposition, Dr. Spiegel referred to Johnny Depp as an "idiot". This is the same expert who criticized Depp for having trouble with impulse control. Judge thyself.
Jennifer Howell was a former employer of Whitney and claims that Whitney said that it was Amber who nearly pushed Johnny down the stairs. We will see if Howell testifies.
Did Amber Heard use insurance to pay for her defense of Johnny Depp’s defamation lawsuit? It's a smart move that others have used to save millions in attorney's fees.
#justiceforjohnnydepp
Calling the media to create a spectacle is inconsistent with someone needing protection. If Johnny Depp were dangerous as Amber Heard claimed, she would have called the police, not the media.
The date Amber Heard picked for her hearing was three days after Johnny Depp’s mother died, it was his daughter’s birthday, and the premiere of his movie: Alice Through the Looking Glass.
Per the American Psychiatric Association, ethics rule 7.3, it "is unethical for a psychiatrist to offer a professional opinion unless he or she has conducted an examination and has been granted proper authorization for such a statement."
Standing up for Johnny Depp in 2016, days after Amber Heard appeared in the media with a black eye, was JD’s friend
@DougStanhope
. He regretted not warning JD about AH's abusive behavior. When Stanhope finally spoke out, AH sued him. Let’s break it down.
Judge Penney Azcarate has denied Amber Heard's motion to strike, finding enough evidence exists for the jury to find AH defamed Johnny Depp in her op-ed piece.
#JusticeForJohnnyDepp
Amber Heard’s mother also texted Johnny Depp on 27 May 2016, claiming Amber’s lawyer instructed Amber that she “had to” seek the restraining order. That’s ridiculous: Lawyers give advice; Clients make decisions.
It was a waste of precious trial time by Amber Heard to call Dr. Speigel. The jury should disregard his testimony. He was uninformed and acted as an advocate.
But Warner Bros says no adverse action was taken against Amber Heard in deciding her role or compensation for Aquaman 2 due to anything said by Johnny Depp or his counsel.
Amber Heard’s father texted Johnny Depp that Amber was scared she would have no place to live unless she got the restraining order. Johnny responded that he told Amber she could live in the penthouse “as long as she liked!!”
AH's attorney asked Dr. Spiegel if Johnny Depp is a narcissist because JD doodles and ate candy while sitting in court all day for 3 weeks. Sure, that's a clear sign of a narcissist. The judge didn't allow the answer.
Upon filing for divorce, Amber Heard’s attorney made financial demands on Johnny Depp and accused him of abuse. The 24 May 2016 letter says Amber wants to handle this quietly, so she has “not yet” asked for a restraining order.
Juror explains mutually abusive comment: "They had their husband-wife arguments. They were both yelling at each other… But to rise to the level of what she was claiming, there wasn’t enough or any evidence that really supported what she was saying," he said.
AH claims she wanted to protect JD, so she refused to speak with police. But seven days later, on 27 May 2016, she had no reluctance in going to court for a restraining order, leaving JD no opportunity to defend.
The restraining order application by Amber Heard makes no mention of the nightmarish “bottle” incident. She mentions only 3 incidents in April and May 2016 and alludes to other abuse that occurred in their relationship. Read it here:
@Grindelwald1999
An appeal is based on what happed in court, so these interviews won’t be considered. I think she’s doing damage control in mainstream media - the only platform she has at this point. Fortunately, many watched the trial and can form their own conclusions.
The media was there in force. The court did not know about the hearing until Amber Heard showed up. The only one who could have leaked was Amber or Johnny Depp’s side. No way JD would want this attention.
Johnny Depp Must Pay ACLU over $38,000 to obtain records showing it helped Amber Heard write a defamatory op-ed and she did not donate $3.5 million. Judge is a member of ACLU but says it did not affect his decision.
Amber Heard gets the restraining order and walks out the front door of the courthouse (not using the underground or side escape available to high-profile parties). Amber appears to have a large bruise on her right cheek, a scene widely shared in the media.
@GellertDepp
Waiting for Amber to turn on her lawyers. After all, the burden of proving defamation against a public figure in the US is nearly impossible to meet.
Has the appointment of AH as an ambassador brought “attention” to abuse issues.? Sure, just not the attention the ACLU intended. We are now talking about how men can suffer abuse and that we should not be so quick to judge those accused of abuse.
The ACLU now wants Johnny to pay its costs for producing the documents. It has the right to ask, but $86,253.26? Maybe they will accept a pledge from Johnny and call it even as they did with Amber.
Update: Johnny Depp vs ACLU (NYC)
The ACLU has filed to be reimbursed for their time and cost of Document prep to the tune of $86,253.26.
There are rules that provide for these-see below.
There is a hearing set, that has been reset to 6/15/22
Johnny Depp was in Spain on 27 May 2016, leaving him no chance to prepare for the hearing. He was not an intercontinental threat to Amber Heard, but she claimed a need for immediate protection.
Amber Heard tells the Today Show she understands why the jury found in favor of Johnny Depp. “I don’t blame them,” Heard said. “I actually understand. He’s a beloved character and people feel they know him. He’s a fantastic actor.”
.
@savannahguthrie
sat down for an exclusive conversation with
#AmberHeard
. "You cannot tell me that you think that this has been fair,” Heard shared, in reference to social media representation.
The Virginia jury found "actual malice" - that Amber made knowingly false statements about Johnny, OR she made those statements with reckless disregard for the truth. The insurance company says, either way, that's a "willful act" so no $1 million.
The judge denied AH's request for an evaluation of JD, so Spiegel should not have criticized Depp for not submitting to one. An evaluation was absolutely needed. Speigel failed to mention the limits of his opinion based on a "record review".
Every dog has its day, and let’s hope the Australian government will bring perjury charges against Amber Heard for the false statements she made and procured in this war of Terriers.
Two days later, at 9:45 am, Amber Heard’s attorney noticed an emergency hearing for the next day (27 May 2016) at 10:00 am. This is the ONLY information shared with Johnny Depp's team about the hearing that would occur in 23 hours:
The ACLU claims to support civil liberties. Due process is one of the sacred rights we enjoy in a democracy, but the ACLU made no effort to get Johnny Depp’s side of the story. They were happy about the $3.5 million “donation” and looked no further.
Amber now demands that the insurance company pay $1 million to Johnny. The company says no, arguing that Amber’s defamation is an uncovered “willful act” and she failed to cooperate with the counsel it was willing to pay to defend her.
Amber’s attorney said AH "never goes outside without make-up on.” "Yet she goes to file the restraining order without make-up on. And it just so happens her publicist is with her. Those things add up and starts to become hard to believe," the juror said.
As journalist
@AsraNomani
states in her article on the coordinated attack against JD: “Publishing an op-ed that someone else has written for you is no different than going online and buying a term paper.”
The recordings played in court showed JD’s desire to avoid conflict, which made AH aggressively pursue him. This was consistent with Dr Curry’s evaluation that AH fears abandonment. AH didn’t need a restraining order from someone who was trying to avoid her.
What did the ACLU do to validate Amber’s claims of abuse? They must have known about her hitting ex-partner Tasya van Ree at an airport in 2009. It was widely reported.
Two years after Amber Heard promised in a divorce judgment not to disparage Johnny Depp, she had no trouble telling the world she was a victim of abuse at JD’s hand. Here are the non-disparagement provisions she agreed to in the court judgment:
It's called the Goldwater Rule. Ethical rules were created to maintain the legitimacy of the profession, to keep psychs from giving uniformed opinions.
Amber and her attorney appeared in court on 27 May 2016. But there was no requirement for Amber to be there. These applications are typically heard on the papers in chambers, without the judge speaking with counsel or the applicant.
The op-ed was timed to the release of Aquaman. In a 12 December 2018 email, ACLU director Jessica Weitz told her team: “The goal is to get this out this week to capitalize on the tremendous campaign for Aquaman.” How does a superhero film relate to abuse?
The insurance company lays out a strong case against Amber that is has no obligation to pay the $1 million to Johnny and that she failed to utilize the counsel it offered here. She will have to defend against the federal lawsuit if she disagrees.
Captain Jack Sparrow is back! (At Disneyland’s Pirates of the Caribbean.). The ride was closed since March 4 and I wondered if they were making a major change. It reopened today and the character remains.
Johnny Depp sought records of the alleged $3.5 million donation and was stonewalled. The court compelled the ACLU to comply, “unleashing a torrent of exhibits and testimony" of how the ACLU and Amber heard were intertwined.
Amber Heard complained that her reputation was damaged by Depp attorney Adam Waldman's statements to the media (saying that Amber had lied about her abuse claims). Amber testified she was concerned her role in Aquaman 2 was in jeopardy because of JD.
AH claims Juror 15 got a summons meant for someone else and reported for duty, when many people look for reasons to avoid jury service. None of those who received a summons would know they might be picked tor the Depp-Heard trial. Her theory makes no sense.
The jury has found Amber Heard’s op-ed about being a victim of abuse to be false and made with actual malice. Since the ACLU helped write the article, will it admit to being wrong and appoint Johnny Depp as its new ambassador?
