“how was your day?” she asks softly, tightening her hold just slightly.

“hi baby,” she says with a smile, and presses a kiss to her neck. “i missed you.”

“please why would i be upset with you?” she says, wiping her eyes of her tears, even though the wouldn’t stop flowing. “thank you for coming over,” she says with a sad smile.

once they’re inside, she pulls back a bit and wipes at her eyes, sniffling a bit. “i’m sorry…..i promise i’m happy to see you,” she says with. watery chuckle.

help the emotions it was all bringing up for herself, either. it honestly had made her feel more alone than anything else. zola and grayson now had both parents, and she practically had none.
