🔁 Shortcut 4: Shifting sectoral responsibility 🔁 . More flexibility between sectors = slower action where climate action is less convenient. We need all sectors - transport, buildings, agri - to decarbonise, not pass on the responsibility.

🌲 Shortcut 3: Over-relying on carbon removals ⚙️. Whether nature or tech-based, removals cannot replace real emission cuts. They are temporary or unproven at scale, and delay needed economic transformation. #CarbonRemovals.

🌍 Shortcut 2: Buying international offsets 🌍 . Counting foreign action toward EU targets = exporting responsibility. It opens the door to greenwashing and also double counting if it gets labelled as ‘climate finance’. #ClimateJustice #CarbonMarkets.

⏳ Shortcut 1: Backloading emission cuts ⏳. Delaying reductions until the late 2030s raises overall emissions & weakens the EU’s 2035 target. When it comes to cutting emissions, the *sooner* the better!.
