12/ By hosting Zarif, Foreign Policy isn’t informing readers. It’s empowering Tehran’s disinformation campaign. And the victims are truth, democracy, and the many lives shattered by Iran’s global terror machine.

11/ So why do Western publications keep giving them a voice? This isn’t “hearing both sides.” It’s letting authoritarian, antisemitic, terror regimes launder propaganda as journalism.

10/ Let’s remember: Iran’s proxies like the Houthis don’t give a voice to critics. Their motto is literally: “Death to America, Death to Israel, Curse the Jews.” They imprison, torture, and kill dissenters.

9/ Other outlets, from the New York Times to the Washington Post, have also played along, giving Zarif, and by extension the 🇮🇷 regime, a platform to gaslight Western audiences.

8/ Foreign Affairs did the same, publishing his essay “How Iran Sees the Path to Peace” in Dec 2024 — just weeks after Iran launched 180 ballistic missiles at Israel and a year after its proxies carried out the largest slaughter of Jews since the Holocaust.

7/ Still, Foreign Policy even let him write an op-ed this summer, describing him in soft, academic terms as a “professor” and NGO founder. No mention of his antisemitic slurs, his calls for the U.S. to “leave earth,” or his role in enabling terror.

6/ Zarif is just the mask the regime wears when it wants sanctions relief. Behind it lies the same machinery of repression, antisemitism, and terrorism.

5/ Western media outlets love to paint Iranian politics as a battle between “moderates” like Zarif and “hardliners.” But that’s a MYTH. The real moderates? They’re dead, exiled, or rotting in Evin Prison.

4/ The IRGC-QF has trained and armed terrorists worldwide. It’s the tentacle of Tehran’s global terror octopus. Zarif’s ministry worked hand in hand with it, including meddling in elections.

3/ Let’s be clear: Zarif is no reformer. In 2019, the U.S. Treasury sanctioned him for acting directly on behalf of Ayatollah Khamenei, spreading the regime’s propaganda, and coordinating with the IRGC-Qods Force, a designated terrorist entity.

2/ Yet on Aug 28, Foreign Policy Magazine hosted Mohammad Javad Zarif — Tehran’s longtime foreign minister — for a discussion on “Iran’s Future.” They even called him a “reforming voice.”

1/ The Islamic Republic of Iran is the world’s #1 state sponsor of terrorism. It has armed, trained, and created groups like Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and even worked with Al-Qaeda. It has also killed more U.S. troops in the last 30 years than any other nation.
