The community bus enhances the service that Garda Síochána provides to the community & is used by the community policing unit to bring youth, older persons & community groups to outings. Allows community policing officers to have a safe mobile space to talk & connect to people.

Seniors in Sicily lean against a police car while taking a break in a piazza. A police officer nearby seemed unconcerned. Team Blue Bros & Sis learned in Rome that such comfort, trust, & support for police has grown in Sicily over the last 30 yrs after much effort on all fronts.

Team Blue Bros & Sis visited Palermo Cathedral where Giuseppe Puglisi is laid to rest. The team learned in Rome that the priest broke ground for community leadership. His 1993 murder (amongst others) sparked support for policing in Sicily. #GS2023
