@C4Dispatches @ellieflynn my god, the replies to this.. ranging from enabling, misogynistic, creepy, victim blaming, ignorant and racist, aside from the clear headed appropriate angles, of how messed up it is to follow someone, the rest are quite literally representative of so many problems in society

@C4Dispatches @louisa_compton @ellieflynn Yes it was very distressing. I started my charity because a 19 year old got raped in a hotel room. The victim blaming was off the chain! Location does not mean she was asking for it. Location isn’t exoneration for a rapist. We need people to know that

@C4Dispatches @ellieflynn fellas if you come to the comments with “not all dudes” vibe. i beg just don’t because you’ll be missing the point here.

@C4Dispatches @ellieflynn Oh Jesus the replies. Just look through the comments where the man in the video is the victim and it's all the woman's fault. I hope none of you have daughters because they already know not to say anything as you'll blame them if this ever happened to them.

@C4Dispatches @ellieflynn I think one of the worrying parts was at the end where they had the focus group with those men, and one of the suggestions was to teach women how to keep safe. NO what is needed is to teach the men NOT to harass women, the women are NOT to blame, it's always the men.

@C4Dispatches @ellieflynn ….. his “English” seems a bit odd…. Not “typical”… can’t figure it out tho.

@C4Dispatches @coffeehound66 @ellieflynn This so why we demand single sex spaces. Mens biggest motivator? OPPORTUNITIES. We need to remove all opportunity when women are vulnerable. Then we can work on fixing the sickness in men.

@C4Dispatches @ellieflynn I told my bf I didn't want to watch Undercover:Sexual Harassment tonight as I didn't think it would tell me anything I didn't already know happens far too often (sadly). He replied "but I'm a man so I need to understand" #hecanstay #channel4 #Dispatches

@C4Dispatches @ellieflynn This is a great anti immigration commercial! We must protect women from these people.

@C4Dispatches @Channel4News @ellieflynn This is like in the film "Promising Young Woman" with Carey Mulligan. In the film, Carey seeks out revenge.

@C4Dispatches @ellieflynn The amount of times this has happened in my life, I cannot even count, brazen, in public from a cat call this morning on my way to work to groping and much worse, I'm 42 and nothing has changed

@C4Dispatches @ellieflynn I wish I could've been more shocked by this, but it is everyday life for women. Most can remember their first harassment - pre-teen. You don't need to be drunk either. Female and alone is enough. Despite some comments here, the men aren't all foreign. It's a societal problem.

@C4Dispatches @ellieflynn This is grim. I'm genuinely surprised that he actually left without hurting her physically.

@C4Dispatches @Channel4News @ellieflynn What’s really fucking depressing is I remember news segments on reporters doing this exact thing and men following them or trying to kiss them. NOTHING HAS CHANGED

@C4Dispatches @ellieflynn I'm saving this on my planner, when my 2 girls are old enough to watch this and understand it, I'm going to show it to them, this is important for them to see and understand the danger that's out there #C4SexualHarrassment

@C4Dispatches @ellieflynn It’s sad that mostly men (the racist ones) care more about the race of the predator than what’s actually happening. Every woman has been through this type of harassment it’s so scary even at work you can’t escape it.

@C4Dispatches @ellieflynn Don't know how many times that happened to me in Liverpool coming out of the (then) Krazy House or Matthew St. I'd tell the police what was happening & 9 times out of 10? They'd sit back in their car or van & ignore me as they were focused on possible fights, not sexual assault.

@C4Dispatches @ellieflynn Sadly I’m not shocked by this. Happens all the time to women. Sexual predators are always on the lookout for vulnerable women and girls, and yet the majority victims are always blamed for the actions of the predator.

@C4Dispatches @cathynewman @ellieflynn One of my biggest fears as a father... men learn to behave yourselves. Women should never be subjected to this abuse, ever!

@C4Dispatches @sarahmayjourno @ellieflynn Sadly no surprise. My daughter has just started Uni in Cambridge and luckily she has fallen in with a good crowd of housemates that look out for each other. Its as bad in my current home town of Spalding too!😥

@C4Dispatches @ellieflynn Unfortunately this isn’t down to “educating” people. There are good and bad people in the world, people with morals and people without them. It’s never been any different, and it’s not going to change. Realise it, look after yourselves and look after each other.

@C4Dispatches @ellieflynn Aw, nice to see so many men in the replies using racism as a way to wave aside very real concerns about women's safety. Really going for the dipshit double whammy there, guys, and I salute you.

@C4Dispatches @ellieflynn Sadly, as common as this is, it's just as common to see comments from men who say it's all in womens heads, that mean aren't a threat, that women exaggerate.

@C4Dispatches @ellieflynn The worst part is, he really could’ve been a lot more forceful! This was actually a ‘nicer’ interaction 🤢🤢 crazy to even say that

@C4Dispatches @ellieflynn When I was working away from home and staying in a hotel alone for a week, men pestered me every night at dinner. It was so bad that I decided to start taking food back to my room, which just meant that another man followed me back to it. I had to pretend I had lost the key.
