FM1 is BB2 McGivered for DoD purposes. If there is a "developmental" issue to be resolved after shipment to India, it can only be that the LM "tail" addition is creating form/fit issues into the delivery vehicle crate. ASTS wouldn't have any other reason to do it in India.
@redrum_2001 We're not on track. "After citing development issues, ISRO chair V. Narayanan stated twice on a recent YouTube video the Block2 Bluebird will launch three to four months after its arrival." (Not ISRO's delay, but FM1 "developmental issues") 8/6/25

And the $ASTS D2C service anywhere, will be available with all major carriers (minus @TMobile ) next year, not 5 years from now.
Honestly, what AST SpaceMobile is building is wild. BlueBird satellites + phased array antennas = direct smartphone connectivity. No dishes. No bulky gear. Just your phone. If this scales, it won’t just fill coverage gaps, it could rewrite the economics of mobile networks.

Are we seeing a movement towards revaluation of small biotech companies in an advanced stage of validating their technologies? $RGNX, and $PRME are good candidates for a big revaluation. $QURE has recently undergone the early steps of revaluation but still has miles in the tank.

$ASTS D2C connects the unconnected to the internet wherever they are. All they need is the phone they currently have in their pocket and a $5-10 addition to their current phone bill.

$ASTS Even Grok knows these Apple/Space X headlines are a nothing burger.
@ChristianVBack1 @AlvaroMysterio No, this isn't officially confirmed by Apple or SpaceX. Reports from The Information suggest exploratory talks and technical tweaks to enable satellite compatibility, but it's speculative amid Apple's existing Globalstar partnerships for emergency SOS. Sources like Digital Trends

Honestly, all of this Apple/Starlink stuff is fud. Musk is scrambling because he knows he has lost the MNO battle with inferior tech. He has scrambled before to no avail. This behaviour is typical of an incumbent trying to protect its domain. https://t.co/bgGB6oJroL $ASTS

In fairness, SpaceX may have a point. AST SpaceMobile's proposed satellites are the size of a tennis court and would be visible to the naked eye from the ground

Awesome ride on QSE5 batteries from @QuantumScapeCo . Just a taste of what a QSE5 powered car will be doing soon.
$QS solid-state battery breakthrough is not merely an incremental improvement. It represents a pivotal moment that fits squarely into broader industry trends pushing for greater sustainability, efficiency, and performance in electric mobility.

A few perspectives that will challenge Vlad's implied conclusions: 1) $ASTS will not be static while @Starlink climbs out of the hole that they are in. 2) $ASTS bigger 'antennas' will still be bigger after the new improved phones become dominant. 3) MNOs will still want to live.
The DTC Phone Hardware Shift: ASTS Wins Early, Starlink Wins Big 📲 Direct-to-Cell performance wont just be about the satellites; it will also be about the phones. Our latest breakdown covers how new Non-Terrestrial-Network (NTN) chipsets from companies such as Qualcomm,

What happened to this Chinese made BEV, Will not happen to any BEV powered with $QS Solid State QSE5 batteries because fault conditions that can start fires (thermal runaway, hot spots) simply do not happen in solid state electrolytes.

More evidence that @Starlink D2D will never really fully catch up to $ASTS true D2C which requires no new or custom equipment for operation. 'Simpler is better' is still the number 1 rule for efficient engineering.
STARLINK NEWS: According to the Korean Economic Daily (KED), Samsung Electronics is developing an AI-powered Exynos modem chip for SpaceX with an integrated NPU for satellite communications, aimed at enabling direct LEO satellite connections to consumer devices for Starlink,

That's what happens when established enterprises neglect the part about creative destruction. New entrants, like $ASTS, with better ideas and technology obsoletes them as they watch it happen with complete paralysis.
Iridium are cooked. They have a couple more years of revenue buoyed up by long term military contracts but most of their business will get eaten up by new-gen DTC. Wouldn’t be surprised if they are planning to sell of the business before 2030

6/6 Looks like we've been notified that $QS (the little gem) has crossed the Rubicon to producer and that the combined manufacturing capacity of Murata + Corning is not adequate to supply the demand for QSE5 separators from engaged JDA partners. I smell @Tesla and/or @panasonic

5/n Why be switching to reporting billings if they had no visibility that more customers will be billed going forward?? Why be looking for more ceramic manufacturers to partner with when you got Murata and Corning already signed up???
