I like when a character is introduced later in a series and becomes a pillar part of the story and a part of its main cast moving forward. Some of my favorite characters ever are like that.

like either don’t include her or adapt some part of her character at least! don’t just give some oc her name and then hint at making her songbird in the future, after wasting all opportunities to keep her story comic accurate.
