We are pleased to advise that our telecoms provider has resolved their issue and service has now been restored to our ATM network. All Butterfield ATMs are accessible to clients and operating as normal. Thank you for your patience.

We hope everyone stayed safe during Hurricane Ernesto. We are pleased to advise that all of our Banking Centres and offices will be open for business as usual tomorrow (Monday, 19 August) from 9 a.m.

Banking Centres will be open as normal on Friday, 6 October. Butterfield Online will be unavailable from 6:00 p.m. on Friday (and for the entirety of the weekend) and there will be no Saturday Banking. All services are expected to resume on Monday, 9 October. Stay safe Bermuda!

The issue with debit card settlements has been fixed for the vast majority of accounts impacted, and we are working to correct the few outstanding. If you still see an issue with your account and you require access to blocked funds immediately, please contact the call centre.

We are aware of an issue with the settlement of some debit card transactions from this weekend. Cards can continue to be used. If this impacts your account, our team is working to fix it urgently and we will provide an update. You do not need to contact the call centre.

Our offices and Banking Centres will be open for business from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. today. All ATMs are back in service and Saturday banking will be available tomorrow at Front Street from 10:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.

We will be closing at 2pm today due to Hurricane Lee and some ATMs will be temporarily unavailable from 12 noon. Butterfield Online and the Contact Centre remain available. At this time, we anticipate reopening tomorrow at 12pm providing it is safe to do so. Stay safe Bermuda!

The duplicate transaction issue has been resolved and customers have not been charged, however, Butterfield Online is temporarily unavailable while we implement corrective measures for issues identified yesterday. We apologise for the inconvenience and will share an update.
