So Doug Ford has stated any changes made to healthcare will be permanent. Apparently Ontario is now a dictatorship. I guess I missed the coup. Didn't know Doug had time to take over between meals

He's dismantled most oversight, installed rules preventing any sort of legal recourse, and now he's paving over Ontario per the wills of his benefactors.
With a total majority, I'm afraid there's nothing we can do to issue a direct challenge.

We can but opposition have to unite. They can do a vote of non confidence on the floor. Won't change anything about PC's being in power but it's a wake up call. They can PUBLICLY say they will break contracts when elected. Scare off investors. They can call for investigations.

The provincial and feder dictatorship of the capitalist class (with some electoral backing by affluent parts of the professional-managerial types) have been chipping away at healthcare for decades before Doug Ford took an axe to it. Liberals just tend to use a chisel.

The only way to offset what he's doing is to build public hospitals to compete w/private ones & to offer scholarships to students to stay in public system for minimum number of yrs. & competitive wages.
It can be done. It'll take a willing provincial Govt.
Never again Ontario PC

Even if they can’t reverse the private clinics they can just hire and pay staff better then those clinics, have less wait times, and patients won’t have to spend anything more then parking and Tim’s.
