Fantastic Four is a lot better than other current Marvel moviesâbut the bar is low. Great aesthetics, but basically has the same vague theme of âfamilyâ found in a Fast and the Furious movie. Worth a watch, but Iâd watch Superman first.

This is why itâs been so impactful, people see the primally âgoodâ character doing good and finding inspiration in that. Superman doesnât need an arch in the way Paddington doesnâtâheâs an archetypal good guy that makes the world move toward him.

âWe needed the clarity and simplicity of something like the origin myth of the infant SupermanâŠâ Nah, we really didnât. He have soooo many of those. By starting in media res of one of the most recognised characters on the planet, we elevated the story to mythos.
