I had a chance to meet Dr. Joy Buolamwini. She delves into the statistical evidence of algorithmic bias in AI systems, particularly facial recognition. Certain commercial facial analysis programs misidentified the gender of dark-skinned females up to 35% #SanfordSchool #Duke

I took some time out last week to travel with other LNC alums to an event hosted by The Shelton Leadership Center at North Carolina State University. The event was moderated by my former boss Former Deputy FEMA Administrator Erik Hooks. I even met some Medal of Honor recipients.
