Recovery after a double hernia op (inguinal & umbilical) - trying not to make any stretching, bending, jerky, sudden movements is hard enough with Parkinson’s symptoms ie freezing gait: stumble/fall but joy of all feckin joys severe dyskinesia last 4hrs #sleepisoverrated

I told Mum about my most successful few days sports wise: winning The Ray Kennedy Shield (walking football) in Liverpool yesterday with @PennineParkies to add to my win in the Cure Parkinson's Open Golf Tournament in Cheshire last Tuesday. "You've had a lucky week" she replied.

@maxrushden @guardian_sport Hi Max, Formed last year, this is the first England team for people with Parkinsons. There is no current international set up for Parkinsons football so the team cannot be part of the FA and are having to find their own funding/fixtures etc. Would be great if you could cover 👍
