Even with multiple events in the area and 80-degree heat in October, we showed up. 840 lbs. of donations raised for the 5th Annual Superhero Food Drive. My hat (or cowl in this case) goes off to everyone for another successful year!

A hearty “Thank You” to everyone who supported today’s Superhero Food Drive for @feedmorewny at the @LexingtonCoopMk. I never expected this to run for 5 straight years, but the positive response kept it going, and inspired me to keep suiting up- even on a 80-degree Saturday!

Had that show been a dud, it would not have established a yearly tradition, and maybe Marvel never would have come calling to create Defenders of the Diamond. But most importantly, our show raised thousands for charity. (3)

Aside from the behind the scenes overseeing, then being featured in marketing, riding in the Batmobile on the field, throwing the first pitch, and performing the main event fight with my best friend in front of 13,000+, it is easy to understand why I only did the first one. (2)

Today marks an incredible 10 years since cosplay in Western New York changed forever with the first Buffalo Bisons’ Superhero Night. When I was asked to help create it, I had no clue how monumental it would become to my life and the lives of many for better or worse. (1)
