For those doubting my fuel consumption for the drive to Mt. Ololokwe and back, here’s a thread on every stop from Nairobi to Ololokwe and back. Fueled full tank at Shell drive thru in survey

Took this photo at Nanyuki during lunch after covering 457kms. That’s from Nairobi to Ololokwe and back to Nanyuki. My fuel was slightly below half. Had roughly used 38 litres to cover 457kms

I topped up 3k just in case I’d need to drive faster leaving Nanyuki for Nairobi. That’s approximately quarter tank fuel added.

Last frame is after I landed home. 665kms later. And the quarter tank fuel that I topped up at Nanyuki on my way back to Nairobi is what I used. The gauge went back to where it was before the top up. In total I used 38 + 17 litres to cover 665 kms. That 55 litres for 665kms.

My full tank capacity is 65 litres. I used up only 55 litres. So yeah, it’s possible to cover that distance in a 3000cc @BMW engine with that given amount of fuel. Average consumption; 12km per litre.

@BrutImz Just wondering: Average kph? Frame 1, 222534 - seems like a car in motion (100kph), not at fuel point and the gauge is not at full, some fuel has been used.

@Jr_2M Only 6kms covered after full tank top up. Check well. Plus camera angles
