October has turned out to be yet another busy month. We have had the opportunity to be part of some big projects that we look forward to sharing very soon… For now, here’s another shipment of our MINEMAX ropes, loaded & waiting to be dispatched to our customer in North America.

TITAN is our range of #steelwirerope for #mooring and #anchoring , available in both compacted and non-compacted, 6-strand and 8-strand. This 3000m length of 77mm TITAN rope was manufactured for sister company EMM Corp based in Aberdeen.

One recent contract for @ropeandsling required multiple orders of 48mm 6-strand non-compacted plastic impregnated hoist and grab ropes. Our client requested a number of ropes cut to specific lengths and supplied with Nemag end terminations fitted by our in-house rigging team

PIR ropes offer improved fatigue resistance, with the plastic filling reducing wire contact and bending stress this improves load transfer and sharing between wires and strands. This results in a continued flexibility and a considerable increase in the working life of the rope.

The process of plastic impregnation involves the individual strand gaps within a steel #wirerope being filled with a sealing thermoplastic material. This forms a protective layer between the individual strands and around the core of the rope.

Brunton Shaw is a preferred supplier of high-tech wire ropes towards many markets including #crane, #oilandenergy, and #offshorewind but our capabilities do not stop here. Brunton Shaw have the facilities to cover ropes, strand and wire with a variety of plastics.
