Quantum Physics News: 40 nanometer thin Barium Titanate could power quantum computing and cut data center energy use. Linking quantum computing with fiber optic will reduce heat from using traditional cables. This in turn reduces the main energy usage of data centers: cooling.
#Ultrathin, strained #BariumTitanate films demonstrate over tenfold improved electron-to-photon conversion, offering potential breakthroughs in quantum computing and energy-efficient #DataCenters. @penn_state @advmater
