Do take a loo! This is very interesting research part of an amazing portfolio. Also a pleasant officemate happy to engage with ideas from across economics.
1/ #EconTwitter Check out this #JMP by @GiampaoloBonomi, a phenomenal UCSD student on the Market! webpage: https://t.co/ieFYAcABjX Giampaolo studies an extremely salient issue: how do social issues, often identitary/moral, interact with economic policy in politicians’ agendas?

I strongly reccomend academics sign up to be part of the community notes system rather than simply abandoning X. It is surprisingly easy to sign up and is a concrete way you can contribute facts to the discourse the median voter or Trump admin official is likely to see

Thank you kartik and to @karthik_econ for connecting me to this amazing coauthor. Do check out my JMP. The papers illustrate the complexity of the rural labor markets in south India and how they've been shaped by 200 yr old land policies and new agricultural technology
Grateful to get the Weiss distinguished PhD research paper award at NEUDC with @BrownstoneEcon for our paper on land concentration and monopsony power in labor markets

Why is it that all important projects boil down to frantically fixing margins and bullet numbering?

just to clarify the specific thing we need is to be able to assign to arbitrary columns not just rows.

Does someone in the #rstats world know a good putexcel alternative? Need to generate 520 individual excels in a very specific template and putting data from r into specific ranges in an excel seems surprisingly hard. @krishanu_c

Do you cite a working paper by the year it was last revised or the year it appeared on NBER? Automatic citation generators use year it was first published but I feel like year it was last revised would be more informative since NBER working papers can change a lot

Come work with me and CEGIS on some exciting efforts to improve agricultural extension in Telangana. There is an RCT, and a great opportunity to learn from working closely with the government.

https://t.co/z6v1k6xLYg there is a chance India will manage to electrify all of its track before California manages to electrify one commuter line in SF (caltrain). Remarkably, India's 13,000km effort is half the cost of the caltrain project https://t.co/NDrEaIYyrb at 80 INR/USD

The fact that @JetBlue has committed to coming up with riffs on the word blue for all 282 of their planes is an amazing example of path dependence.

I have enjoyed working with CEGIS and now you can too! CEGIS ( https://t.co/UpZw0jhRpP) is hiring! If you want to work for a young, unique organization with a mission to support state-led governance and policy reforms, Visit https://t.co/k8IyE6FU4E for all open positions.

Sometimes it's kind of amazing watching econ 101 in action.

Talk of a labor shortage has clogged the airwaves in Washington. But 12 businesses shared the decidedly non-radical way they got around the issue: offering workers better pay.

Does anyone know where I can find the real source for this map or any other map of pre-independence Jagirs, Paigans, and Samastans in Hyderabad state? I got this one from a study guide https://t.co/UwpFMNg4Pi

Hopefully this serves as a useful reminder of the deeply troubling past and still problematic present of the social sciences.
