I have been watching these eggs and wasn’t optimistic about their chances. As I went out to candle the eggs this morning I was surprised to see their contents swimming! One of my favorite parts of this job.
Welcome this year’s raft of ducklings to our courtyard. The hen has been sitting on her nest for over a month and we were worried that the cold temps and her young age would prevent a successful hatching. Excited to watch them grow! @fcpsnews @fairfaxschools @fcpsregion5
