Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series having difficulty settings for both games is super neat. Each option alters heart amount, damage taken from hits, number of lives to begin with, and wind bullet range. For accessibility sake and those who yearn for more challenge, this is great.

The Popka Jump also returns, along with a Huepow variant for the first game! For those unaware, a second controller could be used in Klonoa 2 to summon Popka, who could provide big jump boosts. This info was gathered from the always trusty Klonoa @ Blog:

@BroskiBae Oh so it is a difficulty setting. I was really wondering about that.

@BroskiBae I never played the Wiimake but I did always feel the wind bullet range in the original could've given more room. So it's nice to know they're providing the option.

@BroskiBae Most remakes of retro family games like this just add an easier mode and call it a day, so I'm happy to see they appeal to the older audience too.

@BroskiBae Ooooh, so THAT'S why the trailer showed clips with both 3 and 5 hearts!

@BroskiBae I've never played a Klonoa game, but this will be my entry point. What was the difficulty like on the PS1 version?
