Why people lose it all so quickly is living beyond their means. Buying a house or getting new cars. I still have my bus pass and will continue taking the TTC.

With all that said, there is one thing I plan on doing. My dad and step-more are retiring soon so I’d like to buy them a house on the East Coast (where prices are MUCH less than Toronto). They want to retire out there, plus they love the country living.

I’m continuing to work and those pay cheques can just be ‘fun’ money. Money that can be invested, donated, or used to buy more magic cards.

So why not take that $1M and invest it into something that gets me 4%? That’s 40k per year. 1/2 of that 40K would go towards rent and the rest would be for bills, groceries, etc.

1 million would maybe be enough to buy a place in Toronto. But buying comes with risk. Something could break. Might have to fix the roof or plumbing. Plus, taxes.

I actually didn't go in person. But I met Brad from the PSA (who helped get it there) two weekends ago. He said he took a chance on me and the video(lots of fakes going around) and his daughter's who encouraged him to do so. I am so greatful they did.
