Happy Christmas from DT. Here are the finished lamps designed by our Lower 6th Product Design group this term. The crackled lamp shade was made by Elliot W, who tried dome blowing mirror acrylic! Nice use of LED strip by Tom S with his blue-glow lamp. All look great this year!

The Headmaster and pupils have been supported by Mr Tasker and the DT department to create beehive parts. This will mean that the beekeeping team will be able to hit the ground running when the bees emerge again in the spring. We currently have four hives in the School Apiary.

Lower Sixth Engineers spent this morning testing their lollipop stick bridges to breaking point. They had 100 sticks and had to span a 50cm gap. The best bridge took a static load of 40kg before breaking! #Engineering

Preparing the crucible for the aluminium pour with the L6 Engineers. We are recycling the old drinks cans, previously used for the can crusher project, by melting them down for the pour for their next project. They were gone within seconds! #recycling
