Swine Vesicular Disease ruled out. The last 48 hours have been harrowing for pig keepers waiting for the results. A reminder of what we have to lose. Don't be the one who puts our breeds and the livelihoods of British pig farmers at risk by feeding kitchen waste to your pigs.

There is still an ongoing investigation into other vesicular diseases of pigs. Further testing is being conducted to rule out their presence. The 10km restriction zone will be replaced by a similar zone applying only to pig farms while disease investigations continue.
