Yes. Change the software I can’t watch my kid’s birthday vids from 2017. Meanwhile we’re still reading tablets from thousands of years ago. As a data storage and knowledge/culture transmission tech, physical text is undefeated.
Just as writing made memorising and reciting redundant, . And printing made scribes redundant, . So video and audio are slowly making writing redundant. As a writer that hurts. But does it matter in the end? . Genuine question.
