4th and 5th grade Ss had lots of fun putting the “A” in STEAM! Using only 2 pieces of aluminum foil and 2 chenille stems Ss designed and built freestanding sculptures!🗽It was awesome to see their creativity and problem solving skills! @BrianCamposCCPS @ccpsinfo

This week we put the “A” in STEAM! Ss in 2nd and 3rd grade explored Natural Sculptures and learned about #AndyGoldsworthy 🍁. Using radial symmetry Ss designed and built sculptures with found natural items from the school grounds! #STEAM @scienceCCPS @ccpsinfo @BrianCamposCCPS

Amazing things are happening at Crenshaw Elementary! Kindergarten teachers are making lessons exciting by creating virtual classroom transformations where students become detectives. The music and PE teachers are getting children up and moving with fun activities. #oneCCPS

Talking to my 7 year old son this morning about this weeks events & racism, he said “I thought it’s gone” - breaking my heart we told him the truth, unfortunately it’s not - I also told him that every day we are alive we are responsible to fight racism, stand up to it & stop it.

Until all the words cease being words & become action, then maybe the senseless killings & loss of life could stop. We, myself included cant want & talk about change because we are angry this week & then go back to normal like nothin happend, it has to b authentic, real & lasting
