There are high school football scrimmages across Atlanta tonight. The Georgia regular season begins next week. Dang. That schedule feels Canadian Football League ish.

New record! At one point today I was booked on 5 different flights from 4 airports. All 5 had some type of major delay. Didn't start from or finish at original airport choice. Now off for 16 hours of driving. Early nominee for Dad of the Week.

How about an 8 pitch immaculate inning to finish a game? It happened with the Royals Class A Columbia team a couple nights ago. Dash Albus threw 8 straight strikes, with 2 K's, before a pitch timer violation ended the game and provided the third strikeout on 8 pitches.

This is just awful news with Ryno. Growing up in the Midwest in that era meant Sandberg, Brett, and Puckett. Two are gone. I had four autographed jerseys in my office. Ryno, Biggio, Nolan and Clemens.
The Hall of Fame remembers Class of 2005 inductee Ryne Sandberg, who passed away Monday at the age of 65.

Last fall, I called an Atlantic Coast Conference football game from Berkeley overlooking San Fran. Tonight I am watching a South Atlantic League Baseball game in Fishlill, NY. Equally as odd. Also looking for Blair, Jo and Tootie.

I am delighted to see two Razorbacks drafted in the first round. It feels like a few teams ahead of the Phillies and Orioles missed out. But proud of Gage and Wehiwa.
