✅Physically Active Learning is NOT only a theoretical phenomenon: PAL cannot be understood as a static innovation, as it is constituted by teachers and must be interacted with to be sustained in schools.

✅Workplace-based CPD: In contrast to university-based CPD programs, the SEFAL CPD program takes place at teachers' workplaces. This acknowledges that teachers' work and learning are interconnected.

✅Developing the culture, not the individuals: The CPD takes a whole-school approach to developing the school culture from within. This means that all school employees must attend the CPD program.

✅Creating awareness, not implementing anything new: In Norway, there are many forms of active learning. For this reason, the CPD is structured so teachers can start with what they are already doing, be supported with concrete examples, and reflect on actions and experiences.

✅Structuring the CPD: To accommodate challenges in previous CPD programs, such as being research-led, short-lived, and content appearing generic, the SEFAL CPD uses teachers' potential, concerns and personal.

✅Workplace-based CPD: In contrast to university-based CPD programs, the SEFAL CPD program takes place at teachers' workplaces. This acknowledges that teachers' work and learning are interconnected.
