50 Years of Bray's Bar. On the 1st of September 1975, my Dad - Michael Bray - arrived in Fordstown and took over the pub. 50 years later, he’s still behind the counter.

Water point now available in Fordstown outside the pub. 💧 🚿 . Those without water can come and take bags of water as they need. ⚠️ Water needs to be boiled before used for drinking or cooking . Similar water points have been set up in Carlanstown, Kilbeg and Oldcastle.

I have been seeking funding for this project in Cortown over the last few years and I have worked with the GAA Club, the school, church and local community to have these works carried. These works will greatly improve road safety, lighting & the general streetscape of the village.

➡️ Eight new streetlights will be installed in the village in early 2025. ➡️ A new raised area pedestrian crossing will be installed at the school. ➡️ There will also be a raised area speed ramp near the GAA pitch. ➡️ Upgrade works to the footpaths are being carried out.
