"She managed to make all my faults endearing." US writer Helene Hanff was speaking to @RadioTimes about Anne Jackson playing her in the BBC adaptation of 84 Charing Cross Road in this week 50 years ago. Anne Bancroft played her in the more famous film version in 1987.
