It has been obvious for a while now that Rogersville is the best team in class 4, congratulations to them on winning the state championship. Also a good reminder that the mbca poll isn’t very accurate and shouldn’t be taken seriously
Class 6 5v6 tomorrow night… 🍿 (Nixa is definitely ranked too high but it will be fun regardless) And Rogersville not being the class 4 favorite is criminal, definitely taking them to win the championship as of now.

Bad couple of losses for Nixa, but I would still expect them to play in the district championship. Think this loss takes them out of the 2 seed but who knows. Would love to know what Blansit drew up in the huddle because I do not believe it was for McKnight to take a fadeaway 3

4. From what I saw this weekend + leading up to it, Rogersville and Kickapoo are clearly a level above the rest of the local teams. I would be shocked if either team loses before the Quarterfinal game.

They got some favorable treatment. This is not to diminish anything they did but to just stay in reality. 3. The local coaches couldn’t have been better. Schaffer gave all of those teams hell on defense and McHenry managed to keep it close while at a severe physical disadvantage

Final thoughts from the TOC: 1. Rogersville and Kickapoo both very impressive. Gave us 3 competitive games each and regardless of how you view the outside teams this performance was special. 2. The officials definitely had some home bias, neither team was “robbed” of any wins.

Joplin allowed 3 runs through 3 games. A phenomenal display of pitching and fielding got them here

The Joplin eagles have won the district championship. After a 14-16 regular season, they were a bullet train in the postseason. Extremely impressive showing in a district including Nixa Kickapoo and Glendale. Stories like this is what makes baseball so great.
