Have you ever attempted the state championship cross country course at Hereford? Oh, my goodness. So tough. And yet the Urbana boys cross country dipped into their energy reserve and relied on each other to score more points than anyone else. No easy feat for any feet.

For the third year in a row, @LinganoreCheer won a state championship with an high-energy routine that was high-flying, fast-paced, and just plain fun. This team consistently supports young cheerleaders in their community and are outstanding role models.

The Linganore High girls flag team won the first state championship for an @FCPSMaryland school ever -- on the playing field of Ravens Stadium no less. Trailblazers in a sport still new to our county but growing every year.

The Linganore High field hockey team won the first state championship for an @FCPSAthletics team in their sport in more than three decades on a goal in double overtime by senior Jordan Zimmerman. I doubt she will ever forget that moment.
