With thankful hearts and full bellies, we wish November farewell. In November, we had 355 calls for service, 186 fire inspections, and 10 ambulance dispatches. Our 90th percentile response time was 9 minutes and 20 seconds.

Holidays can be shockingly fun – if you don’t get shocked! Throw away lights with damaged cords and/or sockets. Don’t run cords under carpets, across doorways, or near heaters or furniture. Unplug lights before leaving home or going to bed. Finally, don’t overload outlets!

Practice makes perfect! #DidYouKnow that each Bozeman Fire Department (BFD) firefighter participates in a minimum of 240 hours of training per year? BFD held Tech Rescue and Ice Rescue trainings. These trainings help our firefighters prepare for the real thing.

About 4 p.m. yesterday, units responded to a fire on Stafford Ave. Firefighters located and extinguished a fire in the walls and ceiling around fireplace in the home. The fire caused home damage, but no one was injured. Thank you to Hyalite Fire and @CVFDMontana for assisting!

Keep an eye out, Bozeman! There will be drone activity on Main Street today between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. We’ll fly the drone to capture video from the Christmas spider installation. We will also post signs in the area to let people know the drone is in the air.
