Something I thought of that @ChrisBiderman speculated (not reported) as well, is I can totally see the 49ers taking a big swing & trying to trade for a #1 WR like Justin Jefferson. Purdy needs help. That would be a great start.

Agreed. I will say this front office has to get MILES better at draft & development. Could argue the last 3 drafts haven’t really netted us much of anything.
Proud of this team, proud of the resilience and fight they showed all season. Just ran into a buzzsaw of a team in Seattle and the well ran dry tonight. Lots of work to do to retool this roster for 2026, but what a job by Shanahan, Saleh and the players to get to this game.

Agreed. By all accounts this season was a huge success but in addition to the spending, we are seeing direct results of a front office who has drafted & developed atrociously the last few years. Pure lack of talent on the roster is the real reason we are in this spot.
This was not the year to cut spending. We are seeing the results of that in the personnel that’s replaced injured players. Winning 12 games with this roster was an achievement by shanahan. He’s unable to hide flaws in this game.
