When we fail to do so, not only do these influences win, but they conquer and dominate. So I plead with you to stay vigilant, and remember the humanity of your neighbors.

These influences creep in when we leave the door open for them. So how do you stop that? Yes, we must actively fight against them. However, we must also stand up for one another. We must help our neighbors and we have to be there and fight for each other, and not only ourselves.

All of this is to say that fascism, genocidal influence, and other despotic traits do not die over night. They die when they are forced to. As Americans, we must be vigilant and active in the fight against these influences. We must stand up consistently whenever & wherever we can

Despite the collapse of the Nazi regime, there was still a Nazi presence in Shanghai in August 1945. That month, the German Residents’ Association held an election for their board. Nazis won every seat except for one. Thankfully, this was quickly ended after Japan's surrender.

Prior to and during World War II, the city of Shanghai existed in an unfortunate colonial state, occupied by a mix of nations. One of those colonial occupiers was the Germans.

This year marks 80 years since the defeat of Nazism. While the Nazis were defeated in Europe in May, the ideology did not disappear over night. In fact, much like a cockroach, it found a way to stick around in unexpected places. (1/4)

I was happy to join with friends all over in Cleveland yesterday to stand in solidarity with Doctors Beene and Fouts-Fowler. It is always great to see living proof that Cleveland is a union town, and nothing will ever change that!

I believe in my fellow man. I believe in this country where the poor and huddled masses are welcomed. I believe all are entitled to a quality public education. I believe in celebrating our differences, and we are our best when we do. May God bless you all. Happy Independence Day!

Howdy folks! I wanted to wish a joyous, happy, and safe Independence Day! Our nation is great by its promise to be one with liberty & justice for all. This is a country where all can work, live, love, and exist. No matter what, the American promise is meant for you too. (Cont.)

We were able to discuss what it is like being on a school board, cell phone policies, and so much more! These are some great young men, and are our next generation of leaders. Again, I am very happy to have been able to speak to them today! Good luck and be great, gentlemen!.

It’s true that the queer community aren’t cowards. They, along with an unfortunate amount of other groups, show bravery daily with their continued existence. I pray for the day that existing doesn’t have to be brave. I hope that all within Euclid, and beyond, are loved.

Arondéus was a gay Dutch artist and author who was active in anti-Nazi resistance. Arondéus led the bombing of an Amsterdam records office to hinder the Nazis. He would be caught and executed, with his last words being “Let it be known that homosexuals are not cowards”

As we enter the month of June, I would like to wish everyone a meaningful Pride month. With the times we live in, I hope all members of the LGBTQ+ community can find love, .and joy in their lives. I’d like to take a moment to tell a story about a man named Willem Arondéus…
