Neither Democrats nor Republicans will fight for women's liberation - they are bought and paid for by the bankers, CEOs, and bosses who exploit women every day. We need a socialist system, where working and oppressed people control the economy and govt, to end women's oppression!

The police and the U.S. state enforce this system of patriarchy by locking up women and gender-oppressed people who fight back against their exploitation and abuse. Black women and trans people are especially targets of the U.S. state.

Women in the U.S. perform $1.4 trillion of unpaid labor in the home yearly. Reproductive work - education, taking care of kids & elders - is some of the most essential work to keep society running. Capitalism undervalues this work and forces women to shoulder most of the burden.

Today we celebrate the birthday of Black liberation leader Coretta Scott King! Born in rural Alabama, King became involved in struggle during her university years at Antioch College in Ohio, when the racism she experienced there propelled her to engage in student activism.
