So you can either stay comfortable where you are, isolating yourself from the people you care about and the people that care for you. Or you can question your worldview, and rid yourself of the burden that is hatred.

You don’t deserve that, but no community deserves to be disregarded as delusional either.

Your story doesn’t need to end with the world abandoning you and you hating the world in return until you delete your account and start over or something, because that won’t solve anything in the long run.

Talk to people, enjoy conversations ENJOY hanging out with all kinds of people. Listen to their struggles, understand what they feel and understand why they feel. Look at them and look within, understand that they’re human just like you and I are human.

But it’s not an inescapable pit, I’m not saying this to fuck you over, I’m telling you this because I want you to see and I KNOW you can see.

And when you realize you’re surrounded by extremism, self-righteousness, ignorance and HATE… You’ll realize you have no one else to blame but yourself.

And from there’s just a downward spiral: you push people away, you end up lonely, you blame everyone else for it, you join groups that think and act like you so you feel that sense of community, those groups pull you in more and more, you become more and more hateful…

So you defend your reality, even when unprompted. Because you’re not bringing up the facts and logic you’ve thought off for hours on end because you care for the wellbeing of “delusional” people, you’re doing it for your sake.

All the people that you’ve pushed, the reputation that you ruin, the friendships you’ve torn, it weighs on you once you start to think you’re responsible for causing it.

And before you know it, you’ve locked yourself in a made up reality that you feel that you have to defend, because if it’s not real, it’ll hit you where it hurts… You’re pride, you’re guilt, you’re perception of the world that you think to be so simple.

Your words quote facts but are charged with hatred, you speak as monotone and composed as possible to prove to everyone including yourself that you’re right. You research information that only makes you feel comfortable with yourself and disregard any other. And you know it.

Then the hate also becomes pity, for those poor souls delusional enough to believe themselves something that they’re not in your eyes. You begin to think yourself somehow superior when you believe you hold the truth no one else wants to aknowledge.

I was like you once, bigoted, but still self-aware enough to know it was wrong. I “researched” info only to prove my hatred to be justified, convincing myself it was to be as objective as possible. The guilt disappears once you think your hate is backed up by evidence.

You’re incapable of considering that you might be wrong, and you’re incapable of seeing that too. You’re bigotry hides behind your logic and it’s only invisible to yourself. You think everyone is against you and your beliefs, but we only see what you’re unwilling to see. ( + )
