And it turns out that we could have just asked GPT-4, showing that it IS indeed capable of original thought and reasoning. I'm not sure where the myth came from that it can't, but this seems to be a common misconception.
GPT-4 "discovered" the same sorting algorithm as AlphaDev by removing "mov S P". No RL needed. Can I publish this on nature? . here are the prompts I used (excuse my idiotic typos, but gpt4 doesn't mind anyways).

For those that think AI cannot invent. a core piece of code (sorting) that we all use hundreds of times per day and no human has found an improvement for in 10 years, was just improved by AI. And will soon make it into many apps, websites and browsers.

I know we all think "AI is cool and all, but it can't do what I do". If you're a working behind a computer and not using AI, you're like the stubborn guy with his typewriter when PCs became a thing. But this time around you have months, not years/ decades to get on board.

Not really checking crypto these days. but had to buy some of that discounted $USDC - $3.3B is "temporarily stuck", but not lost. as far as I can tell, nothing is lost and this is just panic selling. time will tell

With the foreseeable progress in AI, I can't think of many tasks/jobs that won't eventually (10 to 20 years timespan) be done better by ai + robots. even without AGI. What am I missing?.

Not sure this is the best solution. But keep in mind that USDC is fully centralized and based in the US. So DAI is currently at the mercy of US regulators. Or technically, by this EoA:
MakerDAO is considering a $3.5 billion ETH market buy, converting all USDC from the peg stability module into ETH.

Looks like scenario 2 played out. Prices of $LUNA and $UST are now irrelevant as there is virtually no liquidity left. And the chain has been halted. Looks like they've finally run out of hopium collateral. I'll say it again: algo stables = fundamentally flawed concept
