The vast majority of my tour guests yesterday were Danish fans paying a visit to Paradise en route to Hampden. 🇩🇰
Without exception, they were an absolute credit. Respectful outside the stadium as they watched supporters pay tributes to Bertie then fully engaged on the tour.⭐️

On this day in 2008, the world lost the incredible Tommy Burns, a man who did so much for this football club that we'll never forget.
We will pay tribute to the great man with a minute's applause at tonight's match.
This lovely gent from Japan on the

tour this morning holding the shirt of Tomoki Iwata’s first club, which I believe to be

Moments like this don’t come along too often...
82-year-old birthday Bhoy John leading his family and other tour guests up the Celtic Park tunnel earlier today to the strains of Glen Daly, with a few Fred Astaire steps thrown in!
An absolute star ☘️⭐️
So 39 years ago today, I jumped on the bus with my pal (dead now, God rest him) and headed into town to buy my first Celtic Hoops from Lumley’s in Sauchiehall St. In the afternoon, we were on the Cairn bus to Hampden to watch the Celts lift the Scottish Cup. Still got the jersey!
Star of the show for me today was this lovely gentleman, seen leading the team down the tunnel.
Now a sprightly 92 years young, Tom has been following Celtic since 1937, which means he has seen the team play under every manager in our 135-year history!
Wonderful character. ☘️⭐️
Something pretty special on
@celticparkevent
tour this morning.
This is Patrick holding a photo of him in the dressing room at Lisbon with the Lions.
An absolute star. ☘️⭐️
52 years tonight, my dad was preparing for a great adventure, heading to Lisbon with his brother-in-law, my godfather. Both wore tammies knitted by the Carmelite nuns, the only time I knew dad to wear colours. I got to wear it every game for years. My most treasured possession 💚
One of my favourite photos of the incredible Lisbon Lions, perhaps their last together as a group in the Hoops. The humour and camaraderie amongst this bunch of absolute footballing legends and friends comes shining through in this very special moment. God bless you Bhoys 💚🍀
Well
@murdomacleod06
…you said you would walk on that stage tonight and you did, and I guess that reception let you know what we think of you.
@CelticFC
hero and legend…on and off the pitch. ✊🍀
An absolute pleasure to meet this young man from Budapest on my tour today. He attended the match last night and took some very special footage, which you can check out @ Hungarian Football Vlogger. As a
@Fradi_HU
supporter he was delighted to see the Ferencvaros Vase on display.
This lovely young guy from Haverlee in Belgium is a Barcelona supporter, Lionel Messi being his idol.
Told me he wanted to visit Celtic Park for himself after hearing Messi rave about his experiences here.
Just saw this on the Celtic Wiki. This was the first Celtic kit I was given as a kid. Used to pretend I was Ronnie Simpson, as the jersey and socks were identical to his goalkeeper’s kit at that time. What a photo and line-up that is! 🍀👍
Just heard the sad news that James has passed away.
A lifelong Celt, his son Mark made the pilgrimage on his behalf a few months ago to make some memories and have his image shown on the big screen.
Thoughts with the family at this sad time 🩷
A view of the incredible crowd packed into Celtic Park on the day the Centenary title was secured against Dundee, in April 1988. It was officially stated as 60,800, which was the stadium capacity at that time. Many fans watched from the perimeter track as Celtic won 3-0. 🍀
7 June 1967. With the quintuple secured, European Champions Celtic end the perfect season by beating 1966 winners, Real Madrid 1-0 in the Bernabeu, to win a sixth trophy. Cesar shakes hands with the legendary Di Stefano before the White Arrow’s testimonial in front of 120,000.
The greatest goalscorer to ever walk these islands.
Turned down Chapman’s Arsenal and wealth beyond his wildest dreams to stay with his beloved Celtic.
The Prince of the Garngad.
McGrory of the Celtic.🍀
James McGrory holds the overall goal scoring record for British football with a tally of 550, Scottish League goal scoring record with 410 goals in 408 appearances, the record number of goals scored in one senior League match, 8 v Dunfermline Ath in 1928, a Celtic legend🍀
34 years today, we lost the man who put Celtic on the world map in the 60s & 70s, producing the best team on the planet and in our long history. Like Walfrid & Maley, and later McCann & O’Neill, a real game-changer for Celtic but only Jock won the Big Cup. God bless you Jock 💚☘️
Another stunning day in Paradise.
Supporters from Croatia, England, Ireland, Scotland and Switzerland on my first tour.
So many links and stories to share.
Stevie and family pictured on Broomfield Rd, outside the gates of Springburn Park. At the time, he was an honorary president of the Springburn CSC and appeared at our Christmas parties as Santa. A local man, hero to us Springburn Bhoys growing up and an absolute gentleman. RIP 💚
Brilliant reception for Wim Jansen’s family at the Armadillo tonight as we celebrated the 25th anniversary of THAT title. 🍀
Wim’s son spoke beautifully.👌

Bleedin’, greetin’, frozen, soakin’...but not broken. Job done for this Japanese Bhoy. Please remember why I’m putting myself through this and if you can help
@FoundationCFC
here’s the link.
My new friends from
@CSCNorway
over for tomorrow’s match.
“Why did you start following Celtic?”
“We loved the history.”
Pretty special group of guys. ☘️🇳🇴
Another incredible stint from my
@ItalianCeltsCSC
friend Dany today.
Two successive weekends from Genoa to Glasgow, arriving here this morning then heading straight home after the match.
Safe journey, Dany. 🇮🇹 🍀⭐️
Congratulations
@eriksviat
, a Champion again following
@fcmidtjylland
's 3-1 victory over FC Copenhagen tonight.
Erik has now won five League titles in the last six seasons, three in Denmark and two with
@CelticFC
.
A fantastic record for one of our much-loved INVINCIBLES!
🍀🇩🇰

This is the first Celtic strip I ever bought.
And I did so on the morning of the 1980 Scottish Cup final.
George McCluskey scored the winner that day...and tonight he signed my shirt. ☘️⭐️
High above the field he graced so often in his beloved Hoops, a lone Celtic flag is lowered to half-mast.
The vast arena is silent as we mourn the loss of one of our own. 💚
Gordon’s achievement in securing back-to-back qualifications from the Group Stage of the Champions League often goes unheralded.
Seven wins and two draws from nine home games is outstanding at that level, AC Milan, Manchester United, Benfica, Villarreal and Shakhtar all beaten.
So 41 years ago today, I headed into town to buy this beauty from Lumley’s in Sauchiehall Street, then wore it as we won the Scottish Cup at Hampden.
First time I had ever worn a strip to a match and the first Hoops I ever owned.
Still one of my favourite versions of the Hoops.
I love this photo, taken from London Rd early 1900s, showing the Grant Stand in all of its glory. Opened just weeks before the end of the nineteenth century, it remained until 1929, before being replaced by the present main stand. Real slice of history here. 🍀💚
Got my first look today at the fabulous new addition to
@celticparkevent
tours, a storyboard reflecting the history of
@CelticFC
. Really wonderful resource bringing our magical history to life for fans and visitors alike. A brilliant way to end your tour. 🍀💚
What an incredible sight.
I will never forget it.
We should have a Hoops day at Celtic Park at some stage. Whole stadium or certain sections.
Effect would be spectacular.
I took a trip to Parkhead, to the dear old Paradise.
When the teams made their appearance,
Sure the tears came to my eyes.
A familiar face was missing from the green and white brigade,
And they told me Johnny Thomson, his last game he had played.
Gone but never forgotten. 💚🍀
Another incredible show of devotion from
@ItalianCeltsCSC
Dany sees him arrive at lunchtime, take in the match then be on a bus from Glasgow to Manchester at 11pm before a 7-hour wait for his flight to Genoa.
Above and beyond, Dany, and all the others who make such sacrifices ⭐️
So I travel halfway around the world to bump into a guy from Chapelhall who is also running tomorrow.
A pleasure to meet
@MickCushley
and his lovely wife Karen at the home of
@BostonBhoys
🍀🇺🇸
26 April 1969. A real ‘who’s who’ of Celtic legends pictured after a 4-0 mauling of Rangers in the Scottish Cup Final at Hampden secures a second Treble in three years for Jock’s Bhoys. Photo from Celtic Wiki.
The saddest of news today about a wonderful man who brought success to Rotterdam and Glasgow 30 years apart and will forever be a link between our two clubs.
All that and he gave us Henrik Larsson also.
Sleep in peace, Wim ❤️💚
@marcelvo21
Two years ago today, Celtic legend Harry Hood joined his good pals Cesar and Stevie with the angels.
300 games in the Hoops, winning 6 League titles and 5 domestic cups, scoring in two Scottish Cup finals.
So many wonderful memories of a fabulous Celt.
God bless you, Harry. 💚
Great to see the increase in guests from abroad coming on the tours to take a look at Celtic Park for themselves.
In the morning we had a lovely lady from the Philippines and in the afternoon this gent all the way from Tahiti.
His verdict?
“C’est magnifique!”🍀
Some very special guests on my tour this morning as we welcomed the great Willie Fernie’s family to Celtic Park. Pictured here beside the Coronation and League Cups, two trophies their dad/grandad did so much to win.☘️
What a lovely family. 💚
@ferniebhoy59
@FernieBhoy63
C’mon the Stripes! Another cracker from the wonderful Celtic Wiki, perhaps the best photo of the original Janefield St Pavilion, badly damaged by the 1904 fire which destroyed the main stand on the right but restored before burning down completely in 1929. Maley in the white hat.
25 years ago, I took my two young sons to Wim Jansen’s first home game as Celtic manager, our first family season tickets. Then my wee girl followed on when she was old enough. What an incredible time we have had doing what we love. Nothing quite like it. 💚💚💖
Brian from Sydney has to be one of the most fanatical Celts I have ever met. Here with his lovely family today
@celticparkevent
tours. Banner’s not too shabby either! 👍🇦🇺🍀
The lovely Moira sharing memories of a lifetime supporting
@CelticFC
on the
@celticparkevent
tour this morning with her family.
An absolute star ⭐️💚
Morning all, in retrospect Ange was taking his last look at the Celtic support at the end of last season's cup final. He'd probably already shook hands with Spurs at that point. Most of us accept that at his age it was too good a chance to miss & wish him well.
Every day on the tours is special but I have to give this wonderful group from Donegal a big shout out.
Kids sang all the way through the tour. Impeccably behaved and a credit to their families and the folk who run the club.
Good luck for the rest of the season. 🍀
Meant to post this after my shift on Thursday.
Incredible image of the legendary Bobby Lennox on Saltcoats beach, wearing the Hoops embossed with a gold star.
Love that 💚☘️
And still they remember those deeds of old
When songs are sung and stories told
It echoes into the dark night sky
The legend of Lisbon will never die...
Gutted to miss the opportunity to catch up with this legend yesterday.
Peter Goldie is, I believe, our oldest living Celt and apparently he was in great form back at the place where he lived the dream.
This cracking photo is courtesy of his son Peter.
