5/7. When you shut off an author's ad account, they stop selling books. Their income drops. Real lives are affected. And when it happens without warning, it's panic-inducing. Without clear instructions on what's needed to restore an account, many advertisers can't recover.

6/7: I speak for all our authors when I ask you: do better. If you want to enforce a KYC check on all clients, that's great. Lots of good reasons to do it. But be transparent about it, give instructions to people on how to restore their accounts, and give them a little time.

4/7: Authors already spend more per click on your platform than what they earn on royalties on their books - and only a certain percentage of those clicks ever end up landing on our target pages. You're making more money off these books than the authors are.

3/7: However, why not be transparent? Why not pop a notification up on advertiser's accounts when they log in letting them know this is your intention? Why not give people some notice?

2/7: Invariably, the only way to get their accounts back is to send a copy of their photo ID in to restore their account. Clearly, your ad department is trying to identify the individuals behind ad accounts. Given the current climate, we support this.

Thread 1/7: @Facebook, many of our authors (over 1,600 on the BookSniffer platform) have reported recently that their Facebook ad accounts have been shut down without warning; no instructions on how to restore their account, nor what policy they are accused to have violated.
