BACK to the old room 🥁🫩

Darrow calls him a coward but understands. Quicksilver gives him some supplies that he has, which allows Darrow to come up with a plan. He is going to The Rim to steal ships from the Obsidians and Lysander. Before parting they find Lyria, and she joins them.

Eventually they find him on the same asteroid Lyria was captured on. Darrow tries to convince Quicksilver to join the cuase again and donate ships. Quicksilver shows that he has no ships they all went into building a space for him and his husband to live out their days.

First time in a year. They share a heartwarming moment but Virginia says Darrow can not come home yet and must conjure reinforcements if they want a shot at winning the war. Its hard for him to hear but he understands the importance. Darrow now sets course to find Quicksilver.

We switch to Lysander having a party to celebrate the battle won against Virginia. He plans his next attack to secure support from the rest of the senators. However, he is poisoned and almost dies. He awaks 9 days later from a medically induced coma. Here he is told

We follow Virginia as she has finally retreated, and makes it too her rescue team. The chapter fasts forward to her and Lysander meeting. They discuss terms of ending this battle in a peaceful way that doesn't cost lives. They come to terms and Virginia will withdraw.

Lightbringer day 7,

Flying home today ✈️

In doing this they are attacked with a beam that increased the temperature to begin melting people without armor. She finally leaves with her Lionguard, but Apollonius is after her. To survive she releases 100 obsidian prisoners. They allow her to live long enough to escape.

We follow Virginia as she manages the war. These chapters consist of her deploying various troops to stop Lysander's attack. She beings to make progress but eventually she is spread too thin. She orders a retreat of section one. Yet she remains in it to manage the retreat.

Rainy day ⛈️

That Lysander has come. The next two chapters flip between Virginia and Lysander going to war with various tactics. Virginia wins some and Lysander wins other. The next chapter follows Lysander on the ground about to jump into a whole drilled into Mars.

With his brother and Atalantia sets off for the moon. We shift to Virginia now. She meets the crew that was with Darrow at the beginning of the book. They tell her that he is still alive and so is Servo. This reignites her passion to endure for her husband. Soon they get word

Lysander he stood and made an announcement to interject. Atalantia tries to stop him, but Lysander invokes an old rule and is allowed to continue his speech. His speech embarrass her and also wins the majority vote. They are to attack the Mars now and not the moon. Ajax stays

He is allowed to live but must sit silent at the council and be in agreement with her plan. The council arrives and Atalantia gives her speech and ask if anyone opposes. It's silent for a moment but Lysander looks around to see if everything is in place, and he stands...

Are embracing and Virginia's will to fight is renewed. Next, we follow Lysander who is on his way to see Atalantia. He is stopped by his brother Ajax. Ajax tells him to just fall to his knees and apologize to her. When they meet she slaps him and he feigns that he's sorry.
