2) Budgets are set prior to the start of the year, and even though WZM was already struggling, we didn’t see CODM start to move back into focus as the main mobile title til well into 2024. At that point the esports budget would’ve already been set.

1) It’s no secret that Warzone Mobile was expected to be the central focus of the mobile side of COD at the end of 2024, as such it was predictable that CODM esports investment would be at an all time low. On top of that SPS dipped meaning no outside investment or funding either.

I understand the natural skepticism toward CODM esports after this year’s champs, but 2026 being the biggest year investment wise was pretty predictable I’ve been saying for months that next year would either be the biggest champs or the end of it, for a few reasons:
After this year’s champs, working with legends, and a convo with Activision, I CANNOT WAIT for the future of CODM Esports.
