When earlier generations were asked, “Did you care enough to stand up against Jim Crow laws?” many could not give a satisfactory answer because they did not. We, too, will be asked if we cared enough to stand up against today’s hateful laws. https://t.co/rA3gTIXLPB

On April Fool’s, the was on Trump and Musk. But we all know it’s no joking matter. Our country is at great risk. But they can be defeated #WisconsinSupremeCourt #CoryBooker @CoryBooker

Yes, we are asking--no we are demanding--that all seeking our votes stand up for democracy, equity, fairness and justice, as Senator Booker did, as Wisconsin voters did.

A black man, a U.S Senator, breaking the modern record for the longest Senator speech, previously held by a white Senator’s filibuster of civil rights legislation. "Our constituents are asking us to acknowledge this is a crisis.”

And Senator Cory Booker showed the leadership, sacrifice, determination, and passion that has been so lacking among his Democratic colleagues in showing the country what's at stake.

She did this despite Musk's $25 million PAC expenditure, his $1 million direct voter bribes, his visit to the state this weekend, his and Trump's social media rants, and their endorsement of her opponent. Or better yet, she won because of all of this.

Yesterday was a good day for democracy. Wisconsin voters soundly repudiated Musk's (and Trump's) efforts to buy the state Supreme Court, instead re-electing Susan Crawford to maintain a progressive majority.

Kamala Harris warned us. Yet tens of millions voted for Trump in November because of inflation, or so they said. Now, we are all paying the price.

Trump continues to wreck the economy. Tariffs on Mexico and Canada, going into effect today, will raise prices on food, spirits, cars, and many more goods, costing families thousands of dollars--see photos of goods most likely to be affected, courtesy of the Washington Post.

I love my country with all my heart and I've never been more embarrassed for America than the spectacle I just witnessed in the Oval Office. Zelensky is fighting for the survival of his country, his people and their democracy. Trump and Vance appear to be completely aligned with

Musk’s DOGE says it has saved $55 billion. Not so fast. A Washington Post analysis found that hundreds of the canceled contracts DOGE listed represent savings of $0 each.

No, Musk's and Trump's DOGE didn't save $55 billion, not even close. What it has done is kick patients off of cancer treatments, left farmers with crops they can't sell, paralyzed our national parks, stripped away consumer protections, put security of our nuclear arsenal at risk

In its simplest terms, the apparent demise of #USAID is the result of the world's richest man ending a program that helps millions of poor people. You don't need a Ph.D. in moral theology to see why this is an evil. You can just read Jesus's parables on the rich and the poor.
