Nastrini’s command has been a big issue this year. He walked 39 in 44.1 IP for the White Sox Triple-A affiliate before they DFA’d him. Command was always an obstacle for Nastrini even before LA originally traded him away, but this season has been particularly rough.

Nick Nastrini made his first appearance back in the #Dodgers organization tonight, but it didn’t go well. He walked all four batters he faced, throwing 22 pitches and only six strikes along with two wild pitches. All four runners that he walked on base ended up scoring.

Esteury Ruiz was optioned to Triple-A, clearing the 26-man roster spot for Justin Dean to join the #Dodgers tomorrow (@dodger_daily on that). Dean will still need a 40-man spot, which could be opened through Kiké Hernández moving to the 60-day IL.

The #Dodgers have promoted OF prospect Samuel Munoz to High-A. Munoz, 20, had a .766 OPS this season in Single-A. Former top international signee Wilman Diaz was released to make room on Great Lakes’ roster.
