Our facilities have been temporarily closed due to a volcanic eruption in Sundhnúkagígar that started this evening. Sundhnúkagígar is a known volcanic area east of Blue Lagoon and north of Grindavík. All guests with confirmed bookings in the upcoming days will be contacted.
We are happy to announce that Blue Lagoon will open select operational units tomorrow, Saturday, January 6. The reopening includes Blue Lagoon, Blue Café, Lava Restaurant, Retreat Spa, Spa Restaurant, and our on-site store.
